At 10:15 am this morning shots were fired from a grey Nissan (plate L31 6223) toward a Silver Mini-Van near the corner of Herbert Ave and 12th Street in Rockford. Police were called and shortly after their arrival the car was seen about a block away. Police were able to pursue and apprehend the vehicle. A detective at the original scene informed me that the suspects fled on foot but were apprehended. There were no injuries from the shooting. The vehicle that was shot at had 2 occupants – one was a very small child.
