Rockford Police Just Released This:
the Rockford Police Department responded to the Alpine Inn, 4404 East State Street, in reference to an Aggravated Battery investigation. When they arrived officers located a 26 year old male victim, who had been struck in the mouth and face with an unknown object. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Detectives from the Rockford Police Department Violent Crimes Unit conducted a follow-up investigation into the incident. The suspect was identified as 25 year old Anthony Spoden of Rockford. The results of the investigation were reviewed by the Winnebago County State’s Attorney’s Office. As a result charges were authorized and a warrant was issued for Spoden. At this time Spoden has yet to be taken into custody on the warrant.

CHARGES: Aggravated Battery (two counts)
BOND: $25,000 / 10%

The charges against Spoden are merely accusations and not evidence of his guilt. As with defendants in all criminal cases he is considered innocent unless proven guilty in court.
