AGAIN the Rockford Police label a violent crime, a “Medical Assist” call. This was a home invasion, the victim was shot and beaten.
So instead of Home Invasion, or Aggravated Battery how it is supposed to be properly labeled as. The Rockford police and their “Transparency” label this as a “Medical Assist”

On Thursday February 2, at a a few minutes after midnight (00:03 o’clock), a Rockford man was the victim of a Home Invasion when three suspects forced their way into his home, at least one of whom was armed with a handgun. In the struggle that ensued, the victim was battered and then shot one time before the suspects fled the house on-foot. The victim was transported by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, where he was listed in stable condition. Details are minimal right now. Around midnight the Rockford Fire Department were dispatched to the 1100 block of Green st in Rockford. Scanner traffic is saying one person has been shot in the leg area. Unknown on the severity of the injuries at the time of writing this. No suspect information, due to the Rockford Police being encrypted. No other information at this time.
