UPDATE: Winnebago County Coroner finishes the autopsy on 20-Year-Old Brandon Taylor of Rockford. They determined the cause of death to be from a gunshot wound.
On Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at approximately 2:00 A.M., officers of the Rockford Police Department responded to the 1100 block of Cunningham Street in reference to a complaint of multiple gunshots being fired in the area.
During the course of the investigation, officer learned a twenty year old male had been struck by gunfire. The male died as a result of his injury. His name is not being released at this time pending notification of the next of kin.
A second male, twenty-two year old, gunshot victim was located at the scene and transported to a local hospital. He is being treated for what has been described as a non-life threatening injury.

Just after 2 am this morning emergency personnel were on scene of a fatal shooting in the 1000 block of Cunningham.
There are 2 shooting victims.
One victim has passed away, the other shooting victim was transported to a local ER.
No suspect information, due to the RPD being encrypted.
