For the last several weeks, the Rockford Police Department Housing Authority Unit has received complaints from management and concerned citizens regarding the possible sale of narcotics involving the residents at 505 North Main Street, apartment 605.
On February 2, 2017 at approximately 7:00 p.m., members of the Rockford Police Housing Authority Unit went to the apartment to conduct a follow up investigation. Upon arrival, they met with 63-year-old resident, Robert Huddleston, and 50-year-old Chicago resident, Donald Butler. Officers learned that Huddleston was wanted out of Arkansas for fraud. Officers located a quantity of heroin and United States Currency inside the apartment. Officers also located a quantity of heroin on Huddleston’s and Butler’s person. They were charged as follows:
Robert Huddleston, 63, Rockford resident: Possession with Intent to Deliver Heroin on Housing Authority Property, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Donald Butler, 50, Chicago resident: Possession with intent to Deliver Heroin on Housing Authority Property, Possession of a Controlled Substance
Both subjects were transported to the Winnebago County Jail and lodged.

The charges against Huddleston and Butler are merely accusations. They are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
