On 11-12-16 at 0018 hours Officers were on patrol in the area of Buckbee and Meadow Ct and were flagged down by two individuals who advised officers they were just robbed by two suspects, who were armed with guns. They pointed out the vehicle, which was leaving the area, and advised the suspects were in that car.
Officers attempted to stop the vehicle at which point it fled. They pursued the vehicle to the 1800 block of Loomis St. where the vehicle broke down and rolled to a stop. The front seat passenger fled on foot while holding what appeared to be handgun. The driver, Christopher G. Cross, exited the vehicle and attempted to flee but was taken into custody. A search of the area was conducted but the outstanding supsect was not located.
The victims stated they were walking through the Blackhawk Housing Development when they were approached by both suspects. The suspects displayed guns and demanded money. The suspects emptied the vitims’ pockets, taking an undisclosed amount of money.
Cross was charged with the following:
Aggravated Fleeing to Elude
Resisting a Peace Officer
No one was injured during the incident.
The charges against Cross are accusations and he is presumed innocent until proven guilty
