Woman arrested for OWI 9th offense after being involved in a hit and run.
Officers made contact with Karyn A. Rew the registered owner of the suspect vehicle at 1408 Laurel Ave. Rew’s speech was slurred, she showed signs of impairment, and had injuries consistent with just being involved in a motor vehicle crash. Rew refused field sobriety tests and was arrested for 9th offense OWI. A search warrant was obtained for a legal blood draw of Rew’s blood. Rew was held at the Rock County.On 10/24/16 at 9:25 P.M. officers were dispatched to a hit and run in the area of Laurel Ave. and N. Walnut St. Witness reports indicated a female was traveling eastbound on Laurel Ave, when she struck a parked motor vehicle. The female fled on foot eastbound on Laurel Ave. and into 1408 Laurel Ave.
