On October 12, 2016 at around 11:00pm, Rockford Police met with an adult male victim in reference to a vehicular hijacking near 630 N Church St.  Upon arrival, Officers learned the victim walked outside and observed a black male suspect going through the interior of his vehicle.  Once the victim yelled out to the suspect, the suspect turned toward the victim and implied he was holding a handgun in the front pocket of his hooded sweatshirt.  The suspect told the victim to give him his keys and wallet.  The suspect and another suspect who was hiding in the bushes as the lookout then entered the victim’s vehicle and left the area.  The vehicle was later recovered unoccupied by police near the area.


Suspects: two black males, early 20’s, around 5’10” in height, around 170 lbs.  One suspect was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and the other suspect was wearing a white hooded sweat shirt.


This is an on-going investigation.
