Another armed robbery in Rockford

On October 12, 2016 around 10:50pm, Officers of the Rockford Police Department responded to the area of 900 N Main St in reference to an armed robbery to a citizen complaint. Upon arrival officers met with the victim, a 24 year old female.  The victim stated she was returning home from work and walking to her apartment building when she was approached from behind by two unknown race males. The suspects placed what she believed a handgun to the back of her head and told her to get on the ground.  The suspects then stole items from her pockets, including her cell phone.  The suspects told the victim to remain on the ground for 10 seconds before she moved.  The suspect then fled in an unknown direction.  The victim did not sustain any injuries from the incident.


Suspect(s) description at this time is two younger unknown race males, both wearing dark colored hoodies and pants.


This is an on-going investigation.
