On Saturday, September 17, 2016 at approximately 0553 hours, Rockford Police Officers responded to McDonalds, 1441 Kishwaukee St. in reference to an armed robbery. Officers were advised the suspect entered through the northeast doors, and approached the front counter. The suspect implied he had a weapon by holding his right hand under his shirt while he demanded money. The suspect grabbed the cash register, and exited the lobby. Employees chased the suspect, causing him to drop the register in the parking lot prior to fleeing the scene. No injuries occurred during the incident.
The following is a suspect description:
white male
35-45 years old
6’2/250-275 lbs
Wearing tan cargo pants, black shirt, grey shirt covering his face, and possibly wearing a hat and glasses.
