On Tuesday September 20, 2016, the Rockford Police Department Narcotics Unit, with members of the DEA Rockford Task Force, executed a narcotics search warrant in the upper apartment at 1522 4th Avenue. The search warrant was the result of a months-long drug investigation.
Officers located three people inside the residence as well as heroin, cocaine and cannabis.
The following person was charged as follows:
Arrested: Willie R. Marks Age 56 Rockford, Ill.
Charges: Possession with Intent to Deliver Heroin within 1000 Feet of a School; Possession with Intent to Deliver Cocaine
Bond: None
Marks was lodged in the Winnebago County Jail. A photo of Marks is attached. The other two individuals were released.
No further information is available for release at this time. Additional information will be released as it becomes available.
All charges are merely allegations and parties are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty in a court of law.
