1 Person Injured During A House Fire in Rockford

Update from the RFD: Rockford Fire crews were dispatched for a residential structure fire. Smoke and flames were noted coming from the third floor in the rear of the structure.

Attack lines were deployed and the fire was extinguished in approximately 20 minutes.

One civilian was transported by ambulance crews for unknown injuries.

One firefighter received minor injuries to a lower extremity and was transported to the emergency room and released.

The dwelling is uninhabitable and as a result five adults were displaced.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

The damage is estimated at $60,000.00

Sources are reporting a house fire in the 1500 block of E State st. 

Rockford FD arrived on scene and confirmed smoke showing from the 3rd floor window.

At least 1 person was injured during the fire.

RFD said the victim was transported to a local hospital with non life threatening injuries.

RFD is investigating the cause of the fire.
